Another area of production of our company, Tecniflon SAS of Sesto Fiorentino in the province of Florence, deals with the elastic bands and guide shoes. These are elements necessary to hold the compressor discharge pressure while the guide shoes support the weight of the piston.

Bands and guide shoes
For dry machines, we supply elastic bands in PTFE in various charges, in PEEK, in RESIN HY50 morganite, depending on the gases and operating pressures. For high pressures, however, we recommend balanced piston rings and counter rings to avoid the extrusion of PTFE.
The various geometric shapes of the cuts on the bands are a function of pressure. On the other hand, in lubricated compressors, elastic bands in PTFE, cast iron, bronze and Bakelite cloth are supplied. The guide shoes for horizontal, vertical and V compressors are supplied closed or open with grooves for gas leaks.
